n8n monitoring that gets you to the problem faster.

n8-m8 runs beside your authorised n8n instances and brings workflow health, executions, alerts, logs, uptime signals, tenant status, maps, and change context into one operational view.

No licence activation, phone-home check, licence telemetry, outbound licence audit signal, or remote kill switch. The self-hosted product never sends the n8-m8 operator a paid-licence or deployment-state signal. n8-m8 is independent software and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, or an official product of n8n GmbH. EULA applies.

When automation becomes infrastructure

The question stops being “did it run?”

It becomes: which workflow looks unhealthy, when did the pattern change, what ran before the failure, and which tenant may be affected?

n8-m8 makes those questions faster to answer. It connects health, history, change, and relationship data so you can investigate from context instead of assembling a picture screen by screen.

Fleet view

See where attention belongs.

Group workflows by tenant and inspect available health, recent runs, failures, duration, and uptime context from one dashboard.

Execution context

Find the run behind the failure.

Filter recent and historical executions by available status, inspect failure reasons and nodes, then follow deep links back to the authorised instance when you need the source.

  • Successful, failed, waiting, running, crashed, and timed-out states
  • Execution IDs, timing, trigger context, and failure reasons
  • Per-workflow success, failure, duration, and entry-node views

Change awareness

See what changed before the pattern did.

Version and change context helps you correlate workflow updates with the execution behaviour that followed. It is evidence for an investigation—not a claim that every failure has one obvious cause.

Operational coverage

One instrument. Several ways into the problem.

Workflow health

Surface workflows that appear healthy, failing, stale, waiting, running, crashed, timed out, or missing from the data available.

Alerts with context

Route best-effort alerts with failure, repeat-failure, resolution, and recovery context to support investigation.

Multi-tenant visibility

Monitor one authorised instance or many, with tenant-aware health and degraded-state context for client and internal operations.

Workflow relationships

Map workflows, credential metadata, tags, alerts, and dependencies to see what is connected to what.

Operational reports

Review available signals for exposed webhooks, content search, hardcoded credential findings, stale workflows, and upgrade status.

Change history

Review workflow versions beside execution outcomes to see when behaviour shifted and what changed around it.

Uptime visibility

Health is a signal, not a promise.

n8-m8 helps you assess whether workflows and instances appear healthy, degraded, stale, missing, or failing from the data your environment makes available.

It is best-effort operational visibility—not a guaranteed availability measurement, SLA, or replacement for independent monitoring and incident response.

Honour-system licensing

Licensing without surveillance.

No activation or phone-home checks. We publish clear tiers and trust you to choose the one that matches how you use n8-m8.

Freelancer + consultant

One solo freelancer or consultant using n8-m8 for paid client work or professional automation operations.

$20 USD / month

Choose freelancer

Business + service provider

Businesses, teams, agencies, MSPs, and managed-service operators using n8-m8 across internal or client automation operations.

$60 USD / month

Choose business

Commercial tiers are USD $20/month for a solo freelancer or consultant and USD $60/month for business, team, agency, MSP, or managed-service use. No tier includes guaranteed support or an SLA unless separately agreed in writing. Commercial use still requires the applicable paid licence. Personal and genuinely non-commercial use remains free while paying is out of reach; we hope it helps people reach a point where they can support the work. Read the full pricing and licence guide.

Self-hosted by design

Your deployment. Your access boundary.

n8-m8 runs in your environment. The n8-m8 project does not operate, host, secure, manage, or back up your deployment unless that is separately agreed in writing.

You are responsible for securing every n8-m8 deployment. Do not put n8-m8 on the public edge, even when authentication is configured. Keep it on a private network or behind a private access layer, and enforce authentication outside n8-m8.

Use TLS, least-privileged access, network controls, protected secrets, updates, and backups.

Plain answers, close to the decision.

The essential product, deployment, independence, and licensing boundaries.

What is n8-m8?

n8-m8 is independent, source-available software for self-hosted n8n monitoring. It brings workflow health, executions, alerts, logs, tenant status, workflow relationships, and change context into one operational view.

Is n8-m8 free?

Yes, for personal, homelab, educational, and non-commercial use. Commercial use requires an active commercial sponsor licence under the published terms.

Is n8-m8 open source?

No. n8-m8 is source-available, not OSI open source. You can inspect the code and use it free for eligible personal and non-commercial purposes under the EULA.

Does n8-m8 phone home for licensing?

No. n8-m8 has no licence activation, phone-home licence check, licence telemetry, outbound licence audit signal, or remote kill switch. The product sends the n8-m8 operator no automatic deployment or licence-state signal.

Is n8-m8 affiliated with n8n?

No. n8-m8 is independent software that integrates with customer-authorised n8n instances. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, or an official product of n8n GmbH.

Does n8-m8 guarantee uptime or catch every failure?

No. n8-m8 provides best-effort monitoring and may miss events, report stale or incomplete data, produce false positives or false negatives, or become unavailable. It should not be your only monitoring, backup, audit, incident-response, or business-continuity system.

Does n8-m8 read credential secrets?

n8-m8 does not intentionally fetch n8n credential secret payloads. Workflow names, credential names, logs, execution data, payloads, URLs, and errors can still contain sensitive information depending on your setup.
